The Netherlands, June 9th 2022: APOC appoints industry specialist, Arjan de Jong, to guide the operational side of the organisation, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
”We are delighted to have Arjan onboard in this critical role, which I see as the oil that keeps the gears of the Company running smoothly
says Max Lutje WooldrikCEO
Further reinforcing APOC’s continued robust growth, de Jong will take ownership of all processes that contribute to the optimum running of the successful and profitable business. He comments: “My main task is to ensure that all operational activities run smoothly by supporting our global teams to work as one. This covers all processes from the moment an aircraft part-out starts, right through to the supply of products to our customers. Whether it’s aircraft components or full landing gears or engines, there needs to be seamless integration and effective management at every step of the way.”
“Arjan’s appointment is of particular strategic importance right now as we develop our global stock hubs in The Americas, Asia and here in Europe,” comments APOC’s CEO, Max Lutje Wooldrik. “We have recently expanded our HQ warehouse and office facilities, tripling our existing storage capacity in Europe. The construction is almost finished, and we expect the new premises to be fully operational this summer. With this vast enhancement in capacity, we will be able to accommodate significantly increased component availability for our customers, at much reduced lead-times.”
De Jong was drawn to APOC for several reasons, in particular the Company’s focus on improving sustainability in the sector, a topic he is passionate about. “It was APOC’s values and business ethos that first attracted me to join this exciting team,” comments de Jong. “Our business is all about improving sustainability. For our customers this is done by extending the aircraft (components) lifecycle and improving cradle-to-grave applications. But within the business we also do our utmost to minimise our CO2 emissions impact; for instance, all our company vehicles are electrically powered, we operate paperless offices, and we highly utilise web meetings for speaking with each other globally.”
As the aviation industry continues to recover post-COVID, APOC is investing in its senior management team to ensure the Company is well equipped for its continued market expansion. De Jong joins the team alongside Pete Allwood, VP Business Development – EMEA, and Kevin Wall, Senior VP Business Development – Americas, both of whom were appointed late last year.
